I've been trying to research my great grandmother Florence Clamp (stage name Daisy Neville) and her first husband John Clamp aka Professor Clancy. They lived in Tetbury for a few years before John died in 1918 and they owned the Empire Picture Palace for a few years, probably from around 1915-1918. John was a professional violinist and Florence was an actress. I think they may have lived in the White Hart Inn for some time, but I can't find any lists of inhabitants of the Hotel for that time period to confirm it. If anyone has any info on John Clamp/Clancy and Florence Clancy/Daisy Neville I would be extremely grateful. I live on Vancover Island in Canada so researching from this distance has proven difficult to say the least. My email is danielle_andrea@hotmail.com if anyone has info they would like to share.

I guess I am still wasting my time using this forum. Have read elsewhere, " lots of hits, no replies" Trying again. Is there
anyone out there that has, or knows anyone who has a group photo of Tetbury Grammar School taken in October 1946. I have a copy and have been trying to name some of those in it. Both myself and Monica GROVES now in Australia have tried but rhere are still a few blanks.

Have noted your message of some MONTHS ago ! Have been aware, but unable to open up to read same until today. Came on line today, found format has altered, Lo and behold I managed.
Agree wholeheartedly, GHOST TOWN, have tried hard to rattle the ancient bones. As you can see without sucess. Sorry, I do not agree with Face Book, and do not subscribe. Foolishly replied to one of my known American E- contacts. Immediately overwhelmed by what almost amounted to porn. Then received many messages from other E- mail friends, quite upset that their details had been picked up and abused. Quite a hard job to assure them I was not responsible. As you may well know I have been well and truly PISHED off.
Currently all is well.

You're right Cliff there are a couple of us trying to show some interest in helping anyone with questions/comments about Tetbury.
I am attempting to move them away from this Old SAD Forum Thread by creating a new " Any Question ?" Thread which I promise will be looked at and no one will be ignored.
