Thankyou Normanspants for your reply, Like most ex-pats of my era I left Tetbury to migrate to Australia 44yrs ago after all the glowing reports in adverts etc. At that time in Tetbury there was very little for children to do except for a once a week evening round the Malthouse for Cubs or Brownies or to go up the Rec. to play on the swings. I do keep in touch with my relatives in Tetbury(not many left unfortunately) and they tell me they dont know many people in Tetbury now. By the way Mr Tetbury still were you born in Tetbury? if so tell me your name I may have known your Grandparents. My Grandson is in England now back.packing for a year and was in Tetbury a couple of weeks ago and was very proud to have his photo taken outside the house his Dad (my son) was born in 48 yrs ago. By the way there is a lot to be saidfor a young man of 20(John Seal) pulling up roots and leaving his family to start a new life in a new country by himself ( would you do it?) Once again thanks for your letter normans pants I appreciated that and its nice to know everyone is,nt the same.

Ah! That could be made into a film that could. No I wouldn't do it. I don't want to live in a colony. I have plenty to do in Gloucestershire thanks.

[Mr Tetbury invents wife to cover up for social and sexual inadequacies and goes for the jugular with a particuarly cutting and viciously-worded remark, to the amusement of other contributors]

OH! You think that you are describing me, (I don't think so!) I thought that it was a self-summary of you. Do you need to talk about some issues 'Mr Normanpants'? Maybe get them off your chest? Your blog name itself concerns me.
Go and use your own website when you live now (Swindon?) and stop living in the past!

Greetings to all of my Readers from Sunny Malta. So sorry not to have been in touch. But where do we go from here?. I have only just picked up pages 3 and 4 and I am quite appalled by the attitude of Mr Tetbury Still. I appreciate that it seems he has never been any where, done anything of interest in what seems to be a very small limited life. But thank you for keeping your comments above the gutter level. I shall still continue using this forum. From what I have seen of the blogs, most of them really insult my intelligence , and a wide majority of other people. I decline to answer further. Take heart Norma I thank you for your witty and pithy replies.
Cliff.

Good to hear from you Cliff; where indeed do we go from here? Well, I've got the motivation of becoming a 'Senior Member' when I get to 50 posts, which will most certainly be an exciting moment. I see you're still a Junior Member Cliff, but look forward to seeing you being upgraded soon!
I expect we'll move on, but we've probably not heard the last of Mr Tetbury, Mr Tetbury Still and his many imaginary wives. I still think compulsory registration is the answer - seems to be the norm (no pun intended) for most decent forums these days, and helps to keep out the spammers and general riff raff.

To normanspants.just a line to wish you a Happy New year and hope its not too cold over there. At the moment the Temp here is going to be 43degrees so by this afternoon I will be envying you. so its air conditioner on and curtains pulled to shut out the sun and stay in all day,As we are a beach resort here I expect it will be crowded with holiday -makers because its their six week school holidays here.We will wait till they have all gone home and we can enjoy the beach again. Is it as hot in Tasmania John?

Iam still trying to become a member and have had all sorts of problems,on page three I became a member with the name Monica but just for one letter, then told there was another of same name. Then tried with Monica rodric but told the same, the frustrating thing I am the same person,so here goes again. This time I am Monicamary so hope this works. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just me being old and thick and suffering from Old-timers disease(What an oppurtunity for you Mr Tetbury still, played right into your hands did,nt I did,nt realise what I was writing),

Hi Monica,
Happy New Year to you too! Your weather sounds excellent, but Australia has too many sharks, spiders and snakes for my liking! It's just the usual dull grey boring December here; I can hardly remember what snow looks like.
I think your multiple membership problems might be to do with the login and registration buttons. Are you sure you are trying to log in, and not just to register again? Right at the top of the page, when you first get to the discussion forum, does it say "Welcome Guest. Please Login or Register"? It should just be a case of clicking 'login' and typing one of your usernames and passwords and then clicking 'Login' again.
Just ignore Mr TS. His opinions are worthless.
Bye for now!
