Hi Monica Groves and Cliff Bryan, Pierre Topps is my late Uncle. His brother Micheal is my father. They had 3 sisters Titenne,Witzer and Minnion. There father Ernest(my grandfather)ran the local fishmongers as you mentioned until his death . When Ernest was in the great war he was a Quarter Master Sergent in the Royal Horse Artillery. His Wife Norva was of course Belgian and thats why all the children apart from my father had Belgian names. If you would like to contact me personally please contact me at paultopps@hotmail.com it would be really nice to here from you both.

Hi my name is Paul Topps and i am trying to find out if anyone knew of anyone with this surname. My father was born in Tetbury in 1936 and his mother and father worked in the Macfisheries fishmongers which was situated at no 5 Market place. My grandfather was Ernest Topps and my grandmother was Norva Topps nee Depoortere. Does anyone have any connections with the Topps family especially Thomas Topps my grt,grt grandfather and Frederick William Topps my grt grandfather. Thomas Topps born 1833 in North Nibley Gloucestershire Died 1910 in Tetbury. Was married to Ellen Hannah Topps nee Neale Frederick William Topps born 1862 in Tetbury died in Tetbury abt 1939 . Was married to Emily Jane Topps nee Nash. If any of these names seem familiar to you please feel free to contact me and if anyone has a picture of these people would love to see if there is any family resemblance
