Hello
I have been researching our family tree and have found links to Tetbury up to 1840, are there still amy families with the Rodway name in Tetbrury ?

Probably not much help, but Mrs Rodway taught at Sir William Romneys School while I was there, until she left in about 1977. I'm not sure her first name was ever revealed, perhaps she didn't have one! I don't recall there being a Mr Rodway on the scene. There were four boys, I knew the youngest two, Tim, born about 1959/60 and Nick, born about 1962/3. They used to live in Grosvenor House, next to the Post Office, until the whole family moved away, as I say about 1977. Not seen or heard anything of them since.
Told you it wouldn't be much help!

 Hi There Rodway Searcher !.... The Eldest Rodway sone was Richard, the second was Simon.. If you go to friendsreunited.co.uk and searching under Sir William Romney school... 1972, you will find the following information posted by Richard "I'm living in Aberdeenshire with Linda, my wife, and Michael(16)and David (15). Hello ref Rodway family i went to Sir William Romneys school Tetbury from 1964 to1969 Mrs Rodway was a teacher there then and so was her Husband who taught music his name was Pete Rodway

Wow what a jolt from the past. I am Richard Mark Rodway born 16/06/55 to Peter and Margaret Rodway. I am the eldest of 4. Simon, Timothy and Nicholas are my brothers. I left Tetbury in 1972 and worked in many countries as an Air Traffic Controller, retiring in 2011. I have 2 sons with my first wife, Linda. Michael Oliver was born in 1985 and David Edward was born in 1987. Michael is married and has 2 daughters and a son and lives in Scotland. David is single, living in London. I married again in 2012 to Theresa and we live in Bournemouth. Ironically, after 39 years as an Air Traffic Controller I followed in my mums footsteps and have bee teaching English since 2012. Margaret and Peter Rodway divorced. Peter remarried and had 2 sons and a daughter. Margaret married " Harry " Babbage, my old Headmaster from Sir William Romneys School. I have only given information that I am comfortable with. I will certainly pass this surprising web site to all concernerned and give them the opportunity to add any further personal information.
