Hi,Is it me or is the chip shop in tetbury just plain tight. The price of things in there compared to else where is very high, £1.55 for a large sausage,£1.20 for a small chips,£1.60 for a slightly bigger small chips. Else where the prices are much better than this, but it seems as though with no competition we are stuck with it. Also The biggest problem is that the food is so hit and miss,I mean one days the chips are ok,the next rock hard and dry!,There have actually been 2 occasions where the whole portion has gone straight into the bin!.

The price is what you call Tetbury rate - i.e. 10 times more expensive than elsewhere because the implication is we're all posh rich people who drive uneccesary 4x4's with the bluetooth glued to the ear like a clothespeg and wear tweed and have a wife called Suzanne.
To answer your point, I think it depends who you get in there, some are better than others.

It depends on the precise amount of chips you are getting I guess. Here's the price list form a chip shop in Norfolk, found at random: www.frenchs.co.uk/menu.html£1.20 for small chips, £1.80 for large chips, but impossible to compare like-for-like because we don't know how large 'large' is or small 'small' is. Anyway, for those who like cod with their chips, that when it gets to second mortgage time, and I'm usually still in shock from the price of the fish to be bothered about the cost of the chips. But of you're not getting quality, that's a different matter. Is it worth taking back the chips instead of dumping them in the bin, and asking for your money back?
