New Years Eve - Black Tie

Hi

it's that time of year and I am trying to organise New Years Eve for a small group of us (all in our 30's). Ideally we want to go to a black tie event in or around Tetbury/Ciren/Malmes (you get the idea). We are fairly new to the area and as such don't have a traditional venue to call upon. Does anyone have any ideas or experiences of such New Years events?

Somewhat sadly I'm having to reply to my own post, clearly Tetbury Online remains a secret resource...either that or my admission to being an incomer means I am not to be encouraged!!!! ;D

Anyway, you'll be pleased to hear that I have sorted New-Years Eve. We are going to the Close Hotel for their masked Ball. Second choice was Whatley Manor, but taxi's in Tetbury on New Years Eve I am not expecting to be easy to arrange!!

For those who may find themselves suffering from this dilema, the Ormond is also doing a black tie do. It may be a bit snobbish, but we decided against there as it is a decent drinking pub if you're with the lads but, after some experiences with obnoxious members of Malmesbury FC, it's not somewhere I'd take my wife.....
