Hi,
We're looking to make some changes to Tetbury Online over the summer - we'd really like to hear what you think of the site.
What does Tetbury Online lack? Does it have anything it doesn't need? What do you think of the amount of news/events/business listings?
We'd really appreciate your comments - just post them below.

More publicity for the site, I came across it by accident. Two of my brothers who live away look at it but there very rarely is anything new to read. Why not do an article for the Lions Advertiser that is well read and widely distributed. I would think the Advertiser is probably better read than the Standard.

Tetbury Online's having a major revamp in the next couple of months (every page redesigned and rewritten from scratch and a new message board, for starters).
But what would you like to see in it? We've got a little bit of time left to add new features, so start suggesting them now!
Unfortunately it will mean moving to a brand new message board, and we won't be able to move current messages and comments over. However the new message board links directly into the main site, so should get more readers and it'll also be easier to login.
We're really excited about the new site - it already looks much better than the current design (which is nearly three years old). We'll show it to you later this summer.

If this message board needs to be deleted, and there is no way of carrying over old threads, then so be it. However, this is the second time this has happened in less than three years. Having contributed to the last discussion board and watched my threads then subsequently vanish into thin air, it seems a waste of time and effort to see the same thing happen again, and so soon after I had clawed my way up to Senior Member Even now I'm wasting my time, as this post will soon disappear for ever. There's absolutely no way of avoiding this I suppose? Having said all that, I admire any local discussion board administrator; hardly ever any thanks, and just a load of aggro whenever any changes are made. Keep up the good work!

Just to clarify, I'm not proposing to delete this message board, but it'll be closed to new posts when the new one starts up. This one will stay here as an archive.
Hopefully increased use of the new message board will make the switch worthwhile. It should also be less prone to spam.

Fair enough then; more posters and less spam sound like good reasons for a switch over.
Can I keep my four stars / Senior Member status? I've worked long and hard to get where I am today.

At the moment, I don't think the new forum will have member rankings. I might be able to add it in the future though (without having to move forums all over again!)
Sorry!

Hi Webmaster, Cliff, one of your most regular callers on line. How do you change a zero or a close thing ? I see many of the forums have a couple of entries a few years old and then nothing. Very little loss there. Great to think that a forum that started as a scathing entry now has had over 10,000 hits, I only wish that a few more viewers would show their interest and make some entries. In the early days I really thought it should have been called Apathy. Noted Normanspants mention of " four stars", how does one get promoted ?

Webmaster, Forgot to answer your query in my previous entry. Plenty of sites of interest. Answer does not lie with your good self. Sorry to harp on, but " APATHY" on the part of viewers again rings a bell. Cliff.BV.

I echo the thoughts of Gem with regards to more publicity. This is a great message board with good inputs from good people who care about the community we live in. I also stumbled across it by accident and don't check in as often as I should.
Maybe you could consider linking in with the Tourist Info Site (whose link escapes me) as (as far as I know) this is the only place where people are able to interact and discuss the pros and cons of living here.
Me, I love it.
Mrs E

What happened to the major revamp these forums were meant to be getting?
Please don't tell me this is the new and improved version?
