I'm keen to increase my star rating on here as I'm stuck on a miserable one star, and of course would love to be on five stars like our Webmaster, or the guys in MacDonalds who are allowed to work without a McDonalds caps on their head. How can I increase my star rating?
Also, my karma is stuck resolutely on nought, and I would like to apply for a different number. I don't understand karma at all and perhaps I'm meddling in areas that I shouldn't be, but surely a karma of 0 is not good at all. Or can it actually be measured? Anyway, if it can be measured I'd like to apply for a karma of 7.5 please, as that sounds pretty cool and it's my favourite number at the moment.

Hmm, no reply as yet. I wonder how much more patient I have to be. Still, only a year's wait so far.
My latest issue is that I am still stuck as a new member, despite having been on here since September 2006 and having had a massive 35 posts.
Dear Webmaster, please can I apply to be an ordinary member rather than a new member? I have a terrible inferiority complex over this issue.
(And please can you bump my stars up a bit as well please please?)

Oh, sorry, one more thing - is there any reason why posts are not displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recently updated discussion at the top? eg, we've got the Focus DIY discussion in third place (last contribution July 07), but 'Christmas lights switch on' way down in 9th place, despite the most recent contribution being just last week.
It all makes it a little too confusing for my underdeveloped brain.

You have too much time on your hands (try leaving your PC once in a while. I am only on this site because I am bored at work)

Yeah, 38 posts on here in 16 months - that's over two a month! The evidence is plain to see - clearly I need to get out more.
I love the whole idea of 'you're totally sad being on here, but I'm not totally sad being on here because I've got a fairly good reason.' Nice one.

Ah, I hadn't really noticed the rankings on the forum! They were on their default and - it must be said - ridiculous settings. You only became a 'junior member' after 50 posts!!!
Anyway, you now become a Junior Member after 5 posts (+2 star). 10 posts makes you a Full Member (+3 star) 50 posts makes you a Senior Member (+4 star) 500 posts makes you 'God' (+5 star).
Plenty to aim for then!
