Hi,
For sometime I have been looking for information on my 4th Gt Grandmother, Eliza Margaret, married name Coote, born in Richmond.
I have found her living in Wotton under Edge from 1841 onwards.
Her daughter Louisa was born in London in 1813, but married Adolphus Howell previously of Stroud in Tetbury in 1833.
Eliza Coote gave her profession in the 1861 census as a late ornamental house painters wife.
I have found online a couple of references from trade directories for Richard Coote a house painter of Tetbury and wonder if this could be a connection.
Does anybody have any suggestions of how I might make the connection if it is there? I would really appreciate any help.
