As a worldwide wanderer myself I can sympathise with the things you miss, however the good news is the British 'Banger' is still alive and well.
True you can get healthy low fat varieties you can even get a version that doesn't even have meat in it....
If you know where to go a full English breakfast is still available, if you plan to stay in hotels while you're visiting Tetbury make sure you ask about the breakfast before booking.
You mentioned June, if it is early June, the Tetbury Wool Sack Race is held on Whit Monday 30th May the whole town takes part.

Let me know the details of your visit, you may like a guide for your walk.
Recently I have been doing some research on the history of Tetbury and am in the process of putting together a series of historic walks, well strolls really not that strenuous.

Back then I don't think Tetbury even had a Cinema, the first one on record was set up in the White Hart Hotel by Mr Shaw Phillips in 1921.

By Children's hospital I can only assume you mean the Maternity hospital which was at the top of Gumstool Hill, It was closed some years ago and has since been converted to a Nursing Home.

Sorry to say I can’t find any reference to the word Selbury, in relation to Tetbury, or Gumstool Hill in particular.
Today many of the houses have been remodelled but still retain the old names where appropriate, but most only had numbers. As far as Henry Cleverly is concerned I can confirm a Cleverly lived in Gumstool Hill for the 1841 census but it seems only as resident not a property owner so little else would have been recorded.

Not sure I can tell you much more than you already know.
From a Census taken in 1735 There is a Joseph Wickes named as a Churchwarden in 1692
Meeting about Replacing the Church held 22 June 1729 Influential citizens held a meeting to consider what to do about the state of the old church attended by John Barrett, Henry Crowther, Daniel Evans, Richard Harding, John Johnson, Thomas Keen, John Phillips, John Purnell, Francis Savage, John Sloper, William Tomkinson, Barnard Wickes, Joseph Wickes, John Wight, Henry Wightwick The matter went to Parliament who suggested repairs and on 10 Feb 1740 charged Thomas Estcourt, Richard Harding, Joseph Ralph, Charles Savage and William Savage with overseeing the work. After spending money doing doubtful repairs, the Old Church was demolished and rebuilt to be opened in 1770
There is also mention of a Joseph Wickes as one of the Feoffees of Tetbury with mentions in the years 1718, 1739 and1753. His son Thomas also has a mention as a Feoffee in 1778.

Extract From A History of the County of Gloucester: Volume 11: Bisley and Longtree Hundreds An estate of 64 a. at the south-east corner of the parish was alienated from the manor in 1651 to William Adams, the former copyhold tenant. The estate, later known as SUMMERWELLS, passed from William to his son Nathaniel who sold it to Thomas Croome of Beverstone in 1710. Croome augmented the estate by purchase and in 1741 devised it to his wife Elizabeth for life with remainders to the sons of his sister Rebecca Banbury. Elizabeth remarried and in 1744 sold her interest to Rebecca, who with her son James conveyed the estate in 1754 to Joseph Wickes of Tetbury. Wickes settled it on the marriage of his daughter Elizabeth to Richard Collibee Banbury, who with the other heirs of Thomas Croome conveyed it to Nathaniel Cripps in 1764. (fn. 15) It then descended with Upton House, Tetbury, until 1819 when William Playne bought it, (fn. 16) thus reuniting it to the manorial estate. A small 19th-century farm-house stood at Summerwells in 1972.

Once again theTetbury Volunteer Centre is coordinating the colection of small gifts in aid of the above appeal.
This is not a request for money but for small treats of sweets, (Not chocolate it melts too easily) toiletries, games, anything to help maintain morale and remind them of our support. These gifts are put into shoe box size boxes and sent to our troops who will be overseas at Christmas time.
Not much time left 15th November is our deadline.
Many Tetbury shops are helping and acting as initial donation points, or you could pass your gifts to the the Volunteer Centre in the Old Courthouse on Long Street.
Please ! Let's show them the people of Tetbury care.
Thank you
